Here at Creatosity we tend to focus on ambitious building projects that centre around wood, that’s not to say that we aren’t a fan of other creative projects which is why we are going to be taking a look at something a little different.
We will be heading over to look at some of the incredible developments in the Arabian Peninsula. With some of the money going into these projects it is little wonder that developers are being so ambitious.
First up is the incredible Nahrain World Trade Centre in Manama. Standing over 240 metres high and boasting 50 floors, the towers have been standing since 2008 and was the first building in the world to integrate wind turbines into its design.
Manama is rapidly developing and is home to some of the most desired apartments, hotels and shopping districts in Bahrain. You can find out more about it as well as more about one of the most popular hotels in the area by visiting http://bahrain.frasershospitality.com.
Dubai is another incredible location with rapid development and their unbelievable land reclamation project has helped to create the phenomenal Palm Islands, Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali.
Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali are artificially created islands off the coast of Dubai. The islands are created by dredging and spraying sand with rock breakwaters surrounding them. You might wonder why they don’t just wash away but when you find out that the breakwaters are over two hundred metres wide and 17,000 metres long and contain over 210,000,000 cubic metres of rock and sand you can understand why.
These fascinating, man made islands are home to a number of properties and hotels which are much sought after.
We will be keeping our eyes firmly on the Middle East as further developments continue and with the World Cup being hosted in Qatar in a few years we can’t wait to see what they do too.
